Presentation of the iconic Lego collection set "Back to the Future Time Machine"
Share
The set has not even been released yet (the premiere is expected on April 1, 2022), but has already become legendary. Three versions of the famous DeLorean from all the movies, many Easter eggs and references, painstaking collaboration between The Lego Group and Universal Pictures designers, in collaboration with Amblin Entertainment.
A grand photoshoot in Hollywood at the filming locations, even the co-author of the script took part in this high-profile project. A short video "Brick to the Future" was shot. And in the kit, there are two powerful unique, collectible minifigures of the main characters of the movie series: Marty McFly and Doc Brown. Let's finally enjoy this curious set!
On the front of the set we see the logo of the legendary movie "Back to the Future", the collectible mark "18+" and note in our awareness an impressive amount of details: 1872 pieces! It's very impressive! Another thing that catches my eye is the lightning in the background instead of a completely black background. Still, they added effects for better sales.
There are so many things drawn and said on the backside that I want to write about it as soon as possible but have to be patient, we'll talk about it below.
Before we start praising this Lego set, let's note its weaknesses. Of course, stickers are key. There are a lot of them in the set, and they are incredibly important. Without them, the image would not be perfect. It is a pity that the Mario or Minecraft series is devoid of stickers, and all their unique details are specially printed. And such cult designs from the designer are content with cheap stickers.
The main feature of the set that we are presented with is "three in one". If you wish, you can assemble a model of exactly the DeLorean that you like, based on your favorite part of the movie "Back to the Future". In fact, we have the same basis in which some of the parts are redone: rear engines and wheels. Which is also not bad. But you can only select one model at a time. Surely there will be real fans who will buy a set three times to have all three cars in their collection!
In addition to the basic 3 in 1 concept, there are many other features: opening gullwing doors, a glowing cube on the flux condenser, etc. There are also many Easter eggs for different series of the franchise: a flying hoverboard, an interchangeable license plate, plutonium and Mr. Fusion.
Its minifigures will also be the hallmark of the set. Any collector will be thrilled to own these stylish gentlemen Marty and Doc. I am sure that over time they can acquire a cult status and certainly significantly increase in price in the future!

It seems to me that the set is very good and solid. It is designed to attract an audience of 30-45 years old to buy a nostalgic set. For this, the option was left with the choice of part of the film and the model of the Time Machine. The icing on the cake is the unique figurines. For me, this model is on par with the Home Alone set. Very high-quality product.
