Fully functional camera Hasselblad built with 1120 LEGO® parts

When LEGO® gets into the hands of a creative person, his imagination begins to work in full force, inventing the most varied variations of what can be built from these coloured bricks.
When the popular children's toy LEGO® fell into the hands of a Taiwanese photographer, designer and LEGO builder Helen Sham, she built a fully functioning LEGO® camera based on the popular Hasselblad 503CX film camera that was produced in the 1980s. It took only 2 hours and 1120 different LEGO® parts to create this amazing fully functional yellow-black film camera.
“I designed the camera from LEGO®, because I'm a photographer, and this camera is one of my favourites,” says Sham. "I just love the manual mechanics of this model."
It is really possible to frame the “shooting scene” through the shaft viewfinder — thanks to the glass elements that Sham used. Also, the camera has a mirror, a frame counter, tape rewinding works (yes, you can insert a real tape!), in addition it has a spring-loaded “shooting button” (for a realistic sensation of pressing).
The basic elements of the camera can be disassembled.
Sham used 1120 LEGO® parts to create a camera. She says she hopes to create a system that allows you to take photos - using a camera from a LEGO® and a smartphone.
Below, in a two-minute video, Sham shows the possibilities of her creation:
