A Life-Size Lego Volvo You Can Actually Drive!
Share

What happens when you combine a passion for Lego building sets and an iconic Swedish car? You get a fully functional, life-sized Lego Volvo V70!
Swedish craftsman David Gustafsson, a dedicated Lego fan, took his love for building to the next level by creating a drivable Volvo V70 almost entirely out of Lego bricks. This incredible project took over a year to complete and required nearly 400,000 Lego pieces!

The Ultimate Lego Car Build
Gustafsson’s journey began after winning an impressive collection of Lego bricks in the Lego Masters competition a few years ago. Instead of simply displaying them, he embarked on an ambitious project to build a full-scale model of one of Sweden’s most beloved cars. The result? A stunning Lego Volvo V70 that turns heads wherever it goes.
While the car is made primarily from Lego bricks, there are a few key components that remain non-Lego:
- A steel frame for structure and safety.
- Functional wheels that allow it to move.
- An electric motor that powers the vehicle.
Everything else, from the seats to the steering wheel, dashboard, and even the working doors and lights, is made entirely of Lego parts!

A True Testament to Lego Creativity
Building with Lego isn’t just about creating small-scale models—it’s about pushing the boundaries of imagination. This life-sized Lego Volvo V70 proves that with enough dedication (and a whole lot of bricks), you can bring almost anything to life.
