How LEGO Group and National Geographic Kids teaching youth generation about the importance of preservation of the jungle
Share
Washington National Geographic Kids and LEGO City have joined forces to inspire children to explore the jungle and the importance of preserving them. Known for his scientific research in the Amazon, Andres Ruzo leads the project together with the LEGO Group and National Geographic Kids, and is passionate about sharing the importance of these habitats with future “young researchers”.
Using City Jungle kits, vehicles, and minifigures, Ruzo created a fun way to emphasize the diversity of the jungle habitat, the diversity of plant and animal species, and the importance of conservation. “Of all my expeditions to the Amazon rainforest, this was one that my 9-year-old son would not want to miss,” said Ruzo.
- Mission: to explore the sacred and mysterious boiling Amazon river, deep in the heart of the jungle.
- Purpose: to inspire children to take care of the jungle and the planet.
- Tools: high-tech devices such as drones, GPS, and thermal imagers, and, of course, LEGO City Jungle kits.”
Ruzo continued: “I want the children to love the jungle and want to protect and understand this as I do. Long before I began exploring the jungle, I dreamed in childhood about my own adventures in the jungle. That's why I'm so excited about the LEGO CITY Jungle series of sets. Playing with these sets hopefully will inspire the next generation of jungle researchers.”
Deepening knowledge and understanding of our world has been our main goal for 130 years. The jungle is an integral part of our planet.
Now you have the opportunity to explore this mysterious world with the series of LEGO City Jungle.
