Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Lucasfilm have announced a new Star Wars LEGO game that will be released in 2020 - the project is called LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga.
The word "Saga" is in the title for a reason - according to the developers, the novelty will include all nine movies of the Star Wars™ series. “The galaxy is yours with LEGO® Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga! Play through all nine Star Wars™ saga films in a brand-new LEGO® video game unlike any other. Experience fun-filled adventures, whimsical humor, and the freedom to fully immerse yourself in the Star Wars universe like never before. For the first time ever in a LEGO® video game, explore the galaxy your way as you fly to some of the saga's most legendary locales. You can start your journey with Star Wars™: The Phantom Menace for some podracing on Tatooine. Or choose to launch right into Rey's adventures in Star Wars™: The Rise of Skywalker. Players have the freedom to seamlessly travel to any planet, in any order, at any time. Journey to a galaxy far, far away with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.” says the project description.
The game will be available for PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
The project promises a huge selection of characters, including the greatest heroes like Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as equally legendary villains such as Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. Of course, there will be characters from the new trilogy, including from the final series. “You'll have to plow the space on well-known means of transport - the Millennium Falcon and the Empire Star Cruisers, LED fighters and X-wings, or even Tatooine’s pods!” – says one of the developers. Traveling around the familiar planets, we will fight with funny enemies and solve simple puzzles based on LEGO®.
