LEGO® style Cats Sculptures - a fusion of toys and art
Share
If the LEGO® building sets and cats are all that you love, then you will surely like these LEGO® style sculptures of cats.
One Hong Kong Company offers everyone who is still a child at heart, mini-sculptures about 1.36 feet (41 cm) in size, of cats, the variety of which will impress even the pickiest! The Company focuses on creating innovative and elegant building blocks products with the brand JEKCA.
Since the patent of LEGO expired decades ago, lots of building blocks products appeared in the market. But most of them are closely following the steps of LEGO and there is hardly any breakthrough. The founder of the Company thought that he could do something more with building blocks and extend its possibilities. So, he spent much time in inventing a new kind of building blocks with a new locking system and that becomes JEKCA bricks. The locking technology has been patented in USA, EU, China, Japan, Korea and other countries. Below you will find a brief demonstration of JEKCA bricks lock mechanism.
Thankfully to this technology the Company can create complex structures. If you try to assemble them with other traditional building blocks, either you need to glue them together (which is troublesome and it is an irreversible process) or they will collapse easily. Since every brick are tightly locked together, when you are still assembling the item, you do not need to worry that the unfinished item will suddenly collapse.
Wonder how much time you need to build such sculptures? Well, it depends on how free you are. If you are free and concentrated, you can finish a cat in a day. Some customers would spend a week for that. The procedure is quite straightforward and all you need is time.
This kind of art should not only be displayed in the exhibitions and should not be the privilege of designers. Company wanted to create some artistic toys or sculptures, popularize them and so everyone can enjoy crafting these beautiful sculptures with ease.
You can order a LEGO® style cat sculpture in different poses and different colors, as you will see in the photos below.
