New LEGO® Technic Land Rover Defender 2020 set has leaked!

To know what the new Defender will look like, just put the pieces together. Land Rover was planning to show it only at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but the news of LEGO® did not go unnoticed. And there's the double leak ...
It rarely happens, but it did. LEGO® is not a company known to be the "source" of revelations of new models ahead of time, but this time it seems that we are facing such a situation. Just as the fifth-generation of the Renault Clio were made public ahead of time through a minifigures website, now the "victim" is the long-awaited Land Rover Defender.
The release of the iconic off-road is scheduled for September, potentially appearing for the first time in the eyes of the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but it did not go unnoticed on The Brothers Brick website, which found it in the LEGO® new kits, for kids above 11 years old, described as a "replica of a legendary model", 42 cm long, 22 cm high and 20 cm wide.
The photo of the box speaks for itself, as it is far from any of the other generations of Defender. But there is little doubt that this is the new generation, because not only is the name of the model evident at the front, but the image of this "replica" goes completely to the details that we can already perceive, by the hand of Land Rover itself, even though the model is still camouflaged.
Looking at each other, in a kind of "discover the differences", the most dissonant detail is the shape of the headlights, which in Lego are round and in the pictures, still in disguise, appear to be more slender. Moreover, only similarities: from the front 'square' to the design of the grid, even passing through the logo of the manufacturer on one of the covers. Too much coincidence? We'll have to wait another couple of months to clear up the doubt. Until then, be sure that the true Defender will have well over 2,573 pieces that make up this kit ...
While you are waiting for the new kit you can grab our exclusive custom remote control Land Rover Defender set which includes 553 pieces.
