LEGO returns to the roots and releases wooden minifigures
Share

LEGO and Room Copenhagen creative agency decided to recall the history of the company and reissue the original wooden figure, which first saw the light in the distant 1978.
They created an exclusive batch of such collectible minifigures. However, these are a bit bigger than the usual on a scale of 5: 1. Each minifigure 20 cm in height was created manually. The whole body and legs are carved from oak wood, but the hands are made of plastic, as in modern, familiar to us options. They are accompanied by a small booklet on the history of their creation.

When Ole Kirk Christiansen, a carpenter, began producing the first LEGO toys in 1932, they were all wooden. And only after the Second World War, Christiansen began to use plastic as a material.
Such a minifigure can be decorated and painted as you wish. Leading designers of the company have already created their own versions of this model. All of them will be exhibited in London LEGO store-gallery.
